Weekdays
Georgina has spent more than 20 years working in financial services and specialises in investment planning, including tax-efficient investments, and Inheritance Tax. She is one of less than 1,000 female Chartered Financial Planners in the UK and also a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.
Georgina primarily works with clients who have existing investments and are looking to reduce their estate liabilities, including those who have been bereaved and older clients. She offers that personal touch with the professionalism of appropriate advice and likes to establish long term relationships with all of her clients.
Weekends
Few people know this, but Georgina has a degree in criminology and once applied for a job at MI5 – few financial planners can say that! In her spare time, Georgina reads a lot of books on crime, true and fiction.
When she’s out and about, Georgina enjoys running, surfing, skiing, travelling and eating lots of good food. Georgina is a mum of two daughters who keep her busy and the family has a gorgeous black Labrador.
Georgina is a Committee Member of the Wessex Kidney Patients Association, a charity supporting kidney patients in Hampshire, West Sussex, Wiltshire and The IOW who are on some form of treatment for renal failure. She’s involved with the committee meetings, the running of the charity, organising merchandise and dialysis visits, when possible.
My proudest moment as a Financial Planner was:
Turning a client’s financial position around from previous misadvice from a cold caller and putting the client in a secure position.
The three things I love most about my job are:
- The satisfaction of seeing plans develop
- Meeting new people and hearing everyone’s unique story
- Developing long-term relationships with my clients
The types of people I most enjoy working with are:
Those looking for their money to achieve a goal. Not an investment goal but maybe to mitigate inheritance, generate an income, and save tax.
